2014-2015 Chamber Music Series

The New Music Conflagration seeks contemporary concert works for chamber and solo instrumentation.

Chamber Series Submission Guidelines:

• Composers may submit, for consideration, no more than 4 works per category.
• Submitted works must match the category instrumentation.
• Compositions may include fixed media.
• Compositions must match the category specified duration.
• Works selected for performance on the concert series will be recorded via video or audio, and will be made available for the composer’s download.
• Composers’ submissions must include a brief biography (not to exceed 150-200 words), a photo, and a PDF score.
• Live recordings of the work are optional, but strongly recommended.
• Due to the large volume of submissions we receive we cannot download large files, as doing so slows down our computers considerably. Recordings should be uploaded as MP3 or included in a composers submission via a streaming link such as YouTube, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, etc.
• If a composer’s work is chosen for performance on the series, he/she is responsible for sending PDF’s of complete parts in a timely fashion.
• Chosen works that are not scheduled for the current concert season due to an inability to find local performers will be archived for a subsequent season. Any other score not selected for the concert series will be destroyed.
• Effective Summer 2014: The New Music Conflagration, Inc. will no longer accept submissions via email or paper. ALL COMPOSERS MUST SUBMIT TO THE OPEN CALL VIA SUBMITTABLE. A link to the official application will be available on or before August 1, 2014 at 8:00am EST.
• Submissions to the 2014-2015 Concert Season will only be accepted between August 1, 2014 and September 30, 2014. Early submissions will be discarded. Late submissions may be considered at the discretion of the Submission Committee.
